The 3M™ Ultimate FX Full Facepiece Reusable Respirator FF-400 Series is 3M’s most rugged facepiece, providing flexibility in X-treme environments while still delivering superior comfort and an exceptional field of view. This facepiece offers an ergonomic, streamlined design – for lightweight, balanced comfort. The Ultimate FX FF-400 also offers the following features:

Comfort

• Comfort head cradle – positions the respirator more comfortably on the head, reducing pressure points and hair pulling
• Soft, silicone nose cup and faceseal
• 3M™ Cool Flow™ Valve for easier breathing and cool, dry comfort
• Large lens for excellent peripheral vision
• Low profile bayonet cartridge attachments, designed for improved balance and better weight distribution

Durability & Security

• Long-lasting head harness – straps pulled over one million times in durability testing
• Six-strap configuration for a secure fit
• Silicone nose cup and faceseal – engineered for maximum durability and resilience

Easy to Use/Easy to Clean

• Paint and stain-resistant lens – 3M’s exclusive Scotchgard™ coating causes some paints and stains to bead up on the surface so they can be wiped off easily and helps lens stay clearer during spray applications
• Scotchgard™ Semi-permanent Lens Cover – lasts longer than standard tear-aways while also providing the benefits of the Scotchgard™ coating
• Respirator attachments – twist on and off easily for quick assembly and disassembly
• Bonded silicone gaskets – eliminates loose gaskets that can be lost

The FF-400 Series respirators can be used in dual airline mode:
• Available with both back-mounted and front-mounted breathing tubes
• Systems can be used in combination with NIOSH approved 3M™ Filters 2000/2200
Series, 3M™ Cartridges 6000 Series and 3M™ Filter/Cartridges 7000 Series
• Cartridge/filter connections provide pressure and powered and supplied air capability in one
respirator assembly  Can be used on both high and low pressure systems*
• Wearer can disconnect the airline at the air regulating valve and the system is changed
to a filter/cartridge air purifying mode— then back to supplied air system with a simple reconnection of the airline
• Small diameter breathing tubes are simple to work with and easy to clean and decontaminate
